Susan B. Slater-Jansen is admitted to practice in New York and the U.S. Federal Courts. Prior to joining Cane & Boniface, P.C. as “of counsel” Susan was formerly a partner in the Trust & Estates Departments of both Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal (New York City) and Kurzman, Eisenberg, Corbin & Lever (White Plains). Susan was the founding attorney of the Law Office of Susan B. Slater-Jansen (White Plains.)
She is a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and their Employee Benefit and Asset Protection Committees, The Association of the Bar of the City of New York (Estate and Gift Taxation Committee), New York State Bar Association (current member and prior Chair of committee on Insurance and Employee Benefits), the Westchester Women’s Bar Association, and the Estate Planning Council of Westchester County. Susan also sits on the Board of Directors of Pace Women’s Legal Justice Center and the UJA Professional Board of Westchester County.
Susan concentrates in estate planning for high net worth individuals and families, business succession planning, estate administration and pension distribution planning. Susan is a nationally recognized expert in estate planning with employee benefits. She has written and lectured extensively on this topic.
